I'd like to be able to engage with it and have a knowledgeable understanding of why it behaves the way it does. I'm in the middle of the 15 day demo and trying to decide if it's for me, but this issue and the lack of clarity combined with the UI zoom and scroll stuff (not user friendly IMO) is giving me pause.Īny further thoughts or discoveries on this ambience behavior is welcomed. It's like the guy demonstrating it didn't really know how it worked. When they demonstrate the ambience in the video you can't even hear any difference as he goes through the different spaces. I then responded and explained again and they wrote back "don't forget that TH3 manages multiple mics that contribute to ambience", again side stepping the issue that I'm raising. When you move a mic further away from a speaker, it picks up more of the room".

I explained it to support exactly like I just did and they said " that's how it works in real life. Unless I'm really missing something here, I believe this is a major bug. this is bizarre behavior and unusable to me. why?, but then if I go and move the turned off mic, the ambience then turns off. Then if I turn that mic off on the mixer, I still hear the ambience. I've been corresponding with support, but they kinda keep dancing around answering my question, which is, how come when I engage the second mic (turn it up) and pull it away from the cab and then turn on the ambience, I don't hear any ambience, but then if I grab that mic and move it a little (it's already pulled away from the cab) then the ambience turns on. I'll report this to overloud, but im hoping somebody can confirm some of this behavior. This is a very strange thing. The preset management is way more flexible and vastly superior to Amplitubes. They rely on zooming and scrolling to edit components and it can be a bit tedious. It warmer, cleaner and doesn't have that highend shrill in the overdrive that is so prevalent in Amplitude.

Moving on, I spent the last 2 days playing with a 15 day limitation free demo version of Overlouds TH3. I'm there to make music, not go shopping. no more seeing things I don't own in the menus, not being able to load presets because of pieces I don't own. Combine that with the fact that they made no improvements to a severely convoluted PITA UI, won't let me properly demo A4. The cpu load can't be tested because all the new functions are locked, I can say for sure that my A3 amps did not sound the same and in my opinion they sounded worse, gainer and boomier bottom. I downloaded it to see how my A3 stuff would sound in it and to see if there was a bigger cpu load. It's basically A3 with some new graphics, graphics that represent areas of the plugin that you can't use until you purchase it. A4cs also does not let you use the new cabinet and speaker room.

You can download A4cs which has none of the new amps in it, nor can you try them from the custom shop. I haven't been able to reproduce the phase changes with moving a mic with zero volume, or the ambience shutting off as soon as you move a distant mic. You don't have to have two mics on, you just have to have the mic at a distance from the cab. I'll report this to overloud, but im hoping somebody can confirm some of this behavior.Okay, I messed with this some more. Suddenly they *seem* to be separate room mics.

The other characteristics that i described to you earlier seem to be gone (the second i move the distant mic closer to the cab to lessen the ambience, it completely shuts off).at least in standalone mode. It seems i DONT need to have BOTH spot mics turned on for the ambience to work.but heres the thing, while having only one mic turned on, moving the mic that is grayed out and turned completely off, further and closer to the speaker - the tone changes dramatically.and not in a phasey, nasally sort of way, but more a useful tone. Lol i gotta have a bug here.or not understanding.
